Production stages of edible milk powder

Selection and preparation of milk: Fresh milk should be obtained from healthy and disease-free animals. After receiving, the milk is subjected to quality control.

Pasteurization: In this step, milk is heated at high temperatures (usually 72°C for 15 seconds) to kill bacteria and germs.

Evaporation: The pasteurized milk is transferred to the evaporation device, where the water is evaporated with the help of heat to increase the concentration of the milk. This process is usually carried out at temperatures below the boiling point.

Drying: After evaporation, the condensed milk is sprayed into drying machines. In this method, condensed milk is turned into fine particles and exposed to hot air to completely evaporate its moisture.

The production of industrial powdered milk has the same steps as edible powdered milk, but it is usually done on a larger scale and with more advanced technologies:
